Why Use Treadmill Belt Lubricant?
May 31, 2007
Treadmill belt lubricant is one of the most important things to purchase after your treadmill. Most people do not realize just how important treadmill belt lubricant is, but when you think about it, it really is quite logical, as without good maintenance of your machine, it will demise quite rapidly.
Treadmill belt lubricant can delay the wear and tear on your treadmill and keep it in good condition. One of the first parts that needs to be replaced on a treadmill is usually the belt, so by using treadmill belt lubricant you will delay this extra cost.
Without a good treadmill belt lubricant, the deck can begin to wear down early and the increased friction will mean that your belt will not last its full lifetime.
If possible avoid using silicon based treadmill belt lubricant or an oil lubricant, unless of course these types of treadmill belt lubricants are specifically recommended by the manufacturer. Some treadmills that are on the market actually don’t require a treadmill belt lubricant, and some arrive pre-waxed, so it always a good idea to thoroughly read all the instructions and recommendations before buying and using a treadmill belt lubricant.
4 Secrets to A Flat Stomach
May 31, 2007
Do you want a flat stomach? I don’t know a person who doesn’t!
People spend millions, if not billions of dollars, each year in the quest for a flat stomach. Right now there are about 200 or more ab exercise devices out there. There’s the ab do-it, the ab rock-it, the ab roller, the ab dolly, and so many more. You would think that with all of these amazing new products that most people would be walking around with that nice, lean mid-section they’ve always wanted. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Most, if not all of these products, will do little or nothing to flatten your stomach. And that’s because these exercise contraptions cannot eliminate the layer of fat that lies on top of your abs.
In order to be successful at thinning your waistline you must have a basic under standing of how the ab muscles function and how your body burns fat. The first thing that needs to be understood is the difference between fat and muscle. Fat is excess calories and is primarily stored in layers on top of muscle tissue. Muscle is made up of fibers that contract or shorten to produce movement. Fat cannot turn into muscle and muscle cannot turn into fat! However, you can lose muscle and you can gain fat. That’s what happens to most people.

Why Do You ?Not Benefit? From Coaching Golf Tips
May 30, 2007
Most golfers have had dozens of opportunities to receive coaching golf tips from numerous sources. However the most interesting aspect of it all is that many are not able to benefit much from these coaching golf tips.
What could be the reason? Is it that the coaching golf tips are not explained in enough detail? Or is it that most golfers fail to grasp them? All these possible reasons are highly unlikely because most coaching golf tips are given and explained in a very practical manner.
If we have any hope of solving this mystery then we must start looking for the answer in the area of implementation. The mind understands but the body is unable to execute. Weak flabby and therefore tense muscles have a problem keeping up with stress and pressure exerted.
Golf still has many players who have stuck to the good old days when exercises were unheard of amongst golfers. When nobody could hear of strength exercises for golf to strengthen muscles and help the golfer dramatically improve on their golf swing. Those are the days when stretch exercises were very minimal and almost non-existent.

May 29, 2007
Balance is very essential in executing the right golf swing and in this article I point out three reasons why you may be having difficulties achieving the required balance and I also give tips on how to correct the situation.
a) Poor setup
A good setup as you approach your shot is essential to helping you maintain balance throughout the golf swing. Setup is easily the most critical golf tip on balance and being able to make a good shot. If your setup is good, even if your other technique is wrong the chances of making a good shot become very high. Part of making a good shot of course involves maintaining your balance throughout the swing.
b) Trying to hit the ball with all your strength
Here is a rather familiar problem amongst amateur golfers. You want to make your drive as long as possible and therefore you hit the ball with all your strength. Real Muscle Real Fast!
May 28, 2007
Adding muscle seems to be a mystery to most, yet if you pick up a copy of any fitness or bodybuilding magazine and you’ll almost always see a headline like this: "Gain 15 Pounds of Muscle in 6 Weeks."
If it were so easy you’d have millions of muscle-heads running around. Even though building muscle tissue can be a challenge, I’m going to outline some very specific principles that can pack on the muscle faster than you can throw away that copy of "Muscle and Fiction"!
Before we get started though I want to clarify a few points.
Ok? here we go.
In order to add muscle tissue you must force the body to add it. Your body won’t just add a pound of muscle just because you followed a 3-set workout that you read about in Muscle + Fitness. You need to give the body a reason to make improvements ? in this case add muscle tissue.
Have a Detailed Exercise Plan Before Training
May 27, 2007
You would never build a house without a site plan, would you? You would never just pick up a hammer, some nails and start pounding away hoping your dream home will be built perfectly. Just like building a house, when you build your body up, you need a plan to adhere to and follow.
Don’t just wander in and pick out the first five exercises you see. Have a detailed plan of action and know which body part you will be training, which exercises you will be using and a specific repetition and set range you will be using. When you have a good exercise plan, you will know exactly what you need to do and your training session will have a smooth flow with no wasted time looking for exercises to perform.
You should know every aspect of your training session before walking into the gym. Will you warm up for 10 minutes before starting your weight training exercises? Will you cool down after your session and spend time stretching your muscles for flexibility? Focus on how your training routine will go from start to finish and this will lead to maximum use of your gym time. The best way is to find specific exercises you want to perform and either write them down or print them out for you to follow as a roadmap during your training session.
What A Good Golf Workout Program Should Have
May 27, 2007
Golf workout program?with the exploding number of so-called golf experts these days it becomes very confusing and it is easy for a golfer to be misled and end up in a program that will hardly have the desired objective of improving their game.
In fact the wrong golf workout program can end up making a golfer’s game deteriorate rather than improve.
It is therefore very useful to know what constitutes a good golf workout program.
A complete golf workout program will tend to have the following attributes;
a) Golf specific stretch exercises
Stretch exercises are a very important part of any genuine golf workout program. Stretches help improve the golf swing and correct many common mistakes and weaknesses in this area. They sometime help alleviate or even eliminate nagging back problems in some golfers. Many stretch exercises can be done in the comfort of the office or home.
b) Golf specific weight (strength) training
Strength training is also a key area in any good golf workout program. Strength training usually has a dramatic effect on the quality of the game of any golfer. Dumbbells are usually used and the program for building strength for golf is usually very different from a body building program because the idea here is not to build muscles.
